New Super Mario Bros. Will is finally out! It was released in Australia today, November 10th. Australia is the first country to get New Super Mario Bros. Wii and many people have imported it in so they could get it early. Youtube user CHUNKYBOWSER has allowed me to put up some of the videos he took of the gameplay.
The menus look pretty straightforward, the graphics are nice and crisp. The maps look really detailed and dynamic. As you can see, the Koopalings have finally returned. They kidnap Princess Peach and fly off in an airship. In this video you can see a couple of the powerups, including the ice flower (my favorite.)
This video has one of the castles in it. Beautiful level design. This game definitely looks more challenging than NSMBDS so far. The battle with Larry has some nice special effects.
World 2! The desert looks nice and stuff, with it's Egyptian architecture. I can definitely see the game getting more difficult. I suppose that's why they put in the autoplay feature though. You can see another of the item minigames here. Seems this game focuses a lot on the powerups.
One thing I like about this game so far is that you can pick up objects. Notice how Mario picks up and throws barrels at enemies. Also, he can pick up frozen Koopas and Koopa shells. I always had trouble picking them up in previous games.
