So apparently Nintendo might be working on a new upgrade to the Wii! Nothing is confirmed by Nintendo yet, but apparently the news came from someone who has previously supplied info about consoles. A new version of the Wii would make sense as well. Both Microsoft and Sony re-released their consoles with upgraded features (360 Elite and Playstation Slim.) It seems reasonable that Nintendo would want to revitalize sales with a better version of their console.
If this is indeed real, the new Wii would come with a blu-ray player and support for a higher resolution. Blu-ray discs of course have more storage, so future Wii games could be much bigger.
